Frequently Asked Questions
1. What makes this isolator different from standard ones?
It’s specifically programmed for LiFePO₄ lithium batteries, which operate at higher voltages (13.2V–13.5V). Standard isolators often fail to engage or disengage properly with lithium systems, risking accessory drain or undercharging.
2. What is P.E.P. technology?
Power Efficiency Programming (PEP) maximizes charging efficiency from stator-based systems commonly found in UTVs. It ensures both batteries receive optimal charge without overloading the system.
3. How does the isolator know when to connect or disconnect?
It uses voltage-sensitive logic:
- Engages at 13.5V to connect both batteries for charging
- Disengages below 13.2V to protect the starter battery
There’s a built-in 10-second delay to prevent false triggers.
4. Can I monitor battery status?
Yes. The kit includes a dual-display waterproof voltmeter and a blue LED indicator on the isolator itself, which lights up when the batteries are connected and charging.
5. Is it compatible with other battery types?
While optimized for lithium, it also works with AGM and lead-acid batteries, making it versatile for mixed setups.
6. How easy is installation?
Very easy. The kit includes:
- Pre-cut, adhesive-sealed waterproof cables
- 3M Dual Lock™ fasteners
- Simple 3-wire connection—no ignition tapping required
It’s designed for plug-and-play use in UTVs like Honda Pioneer, Polaris RZR, and Can-Am.
7. Will it protect against electrical surges?
Yes. The isolator includes ignition surge protection, shielding your system from voltage spikes during startup or accessory use.

Charlotte Miller –
This was purchased to keep the power of my second battery for a winch on my side by side. Thus far, so good. So far, the additional benefit I’ve noticed is that I just need to use one battery tender. When the tender’s primary battery is fully charged, it immediately charges the second battery. The dual voltage meter comes highly recommended by me. I can keep track on the state of both batteries.

If you want to run dual batteries this is a must have. Really look into this because there are plenty of add ons.

It’s a quality Teryx battery isolator with all required accessories and instructions are clear. Working well so far.
Theater55 –
A little pricier than the other automatic battery management switch but probably worth the money. Installation is straight forward.

Great product, installed on my 2016 RZR 1000 XP, had to redo my wiring from previous owner who used generic cabling not cut to length, with this system I can now monitor both batteries from one convent location from just a glance.

Cables could be a little longer
Cables might be somewhat longer. To get it to function where I needed it, I had to swap a positive and negative cable. So they needed to be color-coded differently.
