“Ordered the kit, had a couple of questions about where to mount the isolator and how long the cables are. True’s support answered pretty quickly, and I got a tip that helped hide the wiring from splash damage. After using the UTV dual battery isolator for several months, it’s still solid as day one.”

Is It Safe for My Vehicle’s Warranty?
The True® UTV isolator brand (often sold as the True® UTV-SBI series) is designed specifically for off-road vehicles and dual battery setups. These isolators are built with heavy-duty, vibration-resistant casings, waterproof cables, and heat-resistant components. Importantly, the manufacturer states that their kits are intended to preserve your vehicle’s warranty when installed correctly, since they don’t interfere with the factory electrical system but instead manage power between primary and auxiliary batteries .
Key Points
Warranty Safety: True® isolators are marketed as warranty-safe because they connect in parallel without altering OEM wiring.
Ease of Install: Most kits are DIY-friendly with clear diagrams and minimal wiring (often a 3-wire setup).
Durability: Designed for UTV/ATV environments—anti-vibration, waterproof, and heat-resistant.
Specialization: The UTV-SBI model is the first smart isolator built specifically for stator-based UTV electrical systems .
Things to Keep in Mind
Proper Installation: Incorrect wiring could cause electrical issues that might affect warranty claims.
Manufacturer Policies: While True® isolators preserve warranties, some vehicle manufacturers may still scrutinize aftermarket modifications.
Documentation: Keep receipts and installation records in case warranty questions arise.
✅ Bottom line: The True® UTV isolator brand is generally safe for your vehicle warranty when installed properly.

What makes this UTV battery isolator different from standard ones?
When we talk about a True® dual battery isolator, what sets it apart from many other isolators on the market comes down to a few key features:
Smart Charging Technology – True isolators often have intelligent circuitry that ensures your auxiliary battery charges efficiently without overloading the starter battery. Many standard isolators just split voltage without optimizing charge.
High Current Capacity – True isolators are rated for heavy-duty use (often 140A+), which means they can handle multiple accessories like fridges, winches, lights, and inverters simultaneously. Many generic isolators are rated lower, limiting what you can run safely.
Durability & Build Quality – True isolators are designed for off-road and harsh conditions. They usually have solid connectors, robust casings, and corrosion-resistant terminals, unlike cheaper models that may fail under vibration or weather.
Voltage Sensing & Protection – True units often include voltage-sensitive relays or smart circuitry that prevent your starter battery from being drained, automatically disconnecting loads when necessary. Cheaper isolators may not protect your starting battery as effectively.
Compatibility & Easy Installation – True isolators are designed to fit popular vehicles (like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Jeep) with minimal modifications. Other brands might require custom wiring or extra components.

The “new” True isolater has a “Remote Crank Disconnect”. It allows a bypass of the isolater when cranking (according to the mfg). I have been trying to figure out is a +V or Grnd is needed to bypass the isolater. I would like to put a toggle on the dash, in case it is needed.
Do you happen to know what it needs?
Also, BTW – I ordered the same battery that is in my Harley (2009 UC). It fit fine and if my bike battery ever gives out, I have a replacement on hand.

Love this UTV dual battery kit. Directions great, materials better than expected. If there was anything I would like is the choice of gauge colors. I find the green to be blurry.

Perfect kit and great service from the shipper! I actually order this kit for a 2012 Rzr I purchased, not realizing that I had most of the parts in the kit already. I just needed the relay, the voltage gauges and wiring harnesses. I contacted the retailer and was able to get a refund for the parts I did not used. They even contacted me on the weekend to ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. I cannot say enough with how pleased I was with the kit and the retailer.

easy to install, works as described, it is a true complete kit however the cables are too short and to small of gauge they could be a size or two bigger see my you tube video review

Dual battery isolator kit
Everything worked perfectly and installed easily following the directions. The only reason I’m only giving four stars is that the ground wire is too short.
