Testimonials
“Ordered the kit, had a couple of questions about where to mount the isolator and how long the cables are. True’s support answered pretty quickly, and I got a tip that helped hide the wiring from splash damage. After using the UTV dual battery isolator for several months, it’s still solid as day one.”

What makes this UTV battery isolator different from standard ones?
When we talk about a True® dual battery isolator, what sets it apart from many other isolators on the market comes down to a few key features:
Smart Charging Technology – True isolators often have intelligent circuitry that ensures your auxiliary battery charges efficiently without overloading the starter battery. Many standard isolators just split voltage without optimizing charge.
High Current Capacity – True isolators are rated for heavy-duty use (often 140A+), which means they can handle multiple accessories like fridges, winches, lights, and inverters simultaneously. Many generic isolators are rated lower, limiting what you can run safely.
Durability & Build Quality – True isolators are designed for off-road and harsh conditions. They usually have solid connectors, robust casings, and corrosion-resistant terminals, unlike cheaper models that may fail under vibration or weather.
Voltage Sensing & Protection – True units often include voltage-sensitive relays or smart circuitry that prevent your starter battery from being drained, automatically disconnecting loads when necessary. Cheaper isolators may not protect your starting battery as effectively.
Compatibility & Easy Installation – True isolators are designed to fit popular vehicles (like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Jeep) with minimal modifications. Other brands might require custom wiring or extra components.

I bought one for my neighbor and installed it on his Polaris ranger the wiring diagram is not correct for installation but I only knew because I am very good with electrical diagrams. Other than that my purchase I have not installed yet but I highly recommend for anyone wanting to use more electronic devices on their ranger utv.

In my side by side, the UTV dual battery isolator configuration works well. I enjoy being able to check the voltage with the gauges included with the box.

I own a 2010 Polaris 800 RZRs and when the time came to set up a dual battery setup…

This battery isolator works great with RZR

Very easy to install. Has everything you need for the right installation. Very impressed with RZR battery kit.
Comes with everything i need, although the wire to the battery may be a little short, it still worked with some adjustments.

Great RZR dual battery kit
This is great. I can now listen to the news via radio and use the lights longer at night without worry that my RZR will not ignite. If the primary battery got into trouble I can jump it to the second battery.
Billy Thomshield –
It works great on my rzr. I listened to the music until auxiliary battery died then hit the key and the rzr will start right up

Installed on a RZR XP 4 1000. Install was pretty straight forward with easy to follow instructions. Only negative is the negative cable (no pun intended). The wiring that is included for connecting the 2 batteries is pretty short. The positive wires were barely long enough and the negative wire was so short that it has tension on it between the 2 batteries. So I will have to end up buying some negative wire and connectors to replace it to make sure the tension doesn’t cause any problems with the battery terminals.
Other than that situation, the kit had everything needed and works good. The isolator works properly and can be heard clicking when switching between the batteries and also lighting up blue when switching to the secondary battery

This is the way to go for charging secondary battery
This thing works great for charging an auxiliary battery in your vehicle. I also have the one they make for UTV’s and it works great also. Never had a seconds trouble with either of these.

Works perfectly on my POlariz rzr 1000. I listened to radio until second battery died then hit the key and the rzr engine will start right up. I am now more confident than ever.

It Is easy to install and works well. I have it setup with auxiliary battery in my 2014 razor 570 and exceed my expectation.

Perfect kit and great service from the shipper! I actually order this kit for a 2012 Rzr I purchased, not realizing that I had most of the parts in the kit already. I just needed the relay, the voltage gauges and wiring harnesses. I contacted the retailer and was able to get a refund for the parts I did not used. They even contacted me on the weekend to ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. I cannot say enough with how pleased I was with the kit and the retailer.

I have a 2010 Polaris 800 RZR, and I was looking for choices for isolators when it came time to put up a twin battery configuration, isolating the backup battery so I could run my radio, lights, and accessories without worrying about damaging the primary.
Numerous forums had the TrueAm highly recommended, so I conducted some investigation, which included contacting the producer.
I was impressed that a live person, as well as the business owner, answered my calls.
He guided me through the steps, clearly described how his device operated, and offered installation advice. I must mention that the process was quite simple, and the directions were very clear. It took me about 30 minutes, largely spent attempting to figure out how to run the wires in a way that would make them seem tidy and be properly tucked away.
The system has been in place for a while and is excellent. My primary battery is connected to a CTEK battery tender through a quick connect, and when the vehicle is kept in the garage, the main battery is fully charged before switching over to charge the auxiliary battery. I can completely discharge the Aux while in the field, use my radio, lights, and any other accessory, and still have a full, brand-new main battery to start the RZR. I’m quite pleased with the purchase and the TrueAm’s quality.

I’ve had this for approximately 8 months in my 2016 Polaris Ranger 900-5 crew. I installed two 1200 Odyssey batteries. This device performs admirably. The battery that requires the charge the most receives it. I put more strain on my system than the majority of people ever would, and this Real twin battery isolator performs beyond my requirements. You must comprehend your setup and how everything charges if you want to comprehend how this thing operates.
I have two 54-inch curved 4D light bars, two 50-inch curved 4D light bars, two 7-inch light bars, and multicolored lights in the cab. With my set-up, I can operate all night.
I can see my voltage fluctuate and hear the Polaris battery isolator clicking back and forth. Even after a long night of hunting, I never drop below 10 volts under a full load. Longer and better negative and positive sentences would have been excellent. Others won’t be as fortunate. Therefore give the vendor a tip. Simply hand out the superior, longer cords. You won’t pay that much more, and to be really honest, even then, I would have spent extra for nicer cables. I didn’t purchase this item for the cables’ faultless performance, however.

Excellent item to have placed on my 2016 RZR 1000 XP, had to replace wiring from prior owner who used generic cabling that wasn’t trimmed to length, with the voltage gauge, I can now check both batteries from one convenient area with a quick glance. A dual battery system kit is strongly recommended.
Thank you for a fantastic product; only time will tell how long it will endure.

For around eight months, I’ve had this in my Polaris Ranger 2016 900-5 Crew. I’ve installed two 1200 Odyssey batteries. This device functions flawlessly. The battery that requires the charge the most receives it. This dual battery isolator kit does more than I need it to, and I stress my system more than most people ever will. To grasp how this thing works, you must comprehend your setup and how everything charges. I have two 54-inch and two 50-inch curved 4D light bars, two 7-inch light bars, and other color lights in my cab. I can hunt for more than eight hours over 3,000 acres without any problems.
I can see fluctuations in my voltage and hear the clicks of the Polaris battery isolator. With a full load and a whole night of hunting, I never drop below 10 volts. Longer and better neg and pos would have been wonderful. cables, but given all the additional modifications made to the Ranger,
Better cable was in my possession. Not everyone will be as fortunate as you. Thus, give the seller a tip. Simply provide the longer, better cables. You won’t pay much more for it, and to be honest, even if you did, I would have paid more for the superior cables. I didn’t purchase this for the cables, aside from that. The dual battery isolator kit was a necessity.
Tomurphy –
Works as advertised, keeping both batteries charged in my RZR 570. Easy instructions to follow for installation. One thing I would alter is a longer ground line.
This RZR dual battery setup is perfect
GeorgeR –
The structure and operation are great, but the included cables are excessively short for my 2017 Polaris RZR 4 900. Furthermore, the end connector holes on the cables are too small in size to fit onto the end screws on both of my batteries, so I had to purchase and make my own cables.
David Wahl –
This item is useful for connecting and isolating two batteries in a Polaris Ranger 800 Crew. The boots were difficult to use, therefore I did not use them. It’s possible that a good lubrication with silicone grease will get them working.
Jerelle –
It works amazing! I installed this on my RZR XP4 Turbo to keep my auxiliary battery, which powers my stereo and other accessories, separate from my primary battery, so I never have to worry about it dying. The wires are of acceptable length, but due to how I routed my lines, I needed to purchase an extra battery cable. I really recommend this isolator.
Maria Gutierrez –
Reliable kit, no voltage drops even with heavy winching.

Great value. Protects the starter battery while powering accessories.
