2. What is P.E.P. technology?
Power Efficiency Programming (PEP) maximizes charging efficiency from stator-based systems commonly found in UTVs. It ensures both batteries receive optimal charge without overloading the system.
3. How does the isolator know when to connect or disconnect?
It uses voltage-sensitive logic:
- Engages at 13.5V to connect both batteries for charging
- Disengages below 13.2V to protect the starter battery
There’s a built-in 10-second delay to prevent false triggers.
4. Can I monitor battery status?

Due to its compact size, this battery isolator is simple to place, performs admirably, and offers you a variety of mounting alternatives. The ones I looked at were literally four and five times as much as this one and didn’t do anything more. In order to connect the batteries, it turns blue when it goes on. It operates exactly as it should when I use a trickle charger on the primary battery; it waits until that battery is fully charged before turning on and allowing the secondary battery to charge. Fantastic product at a great price.

To separate the starting battery from the accessories battery, I added a second battery to my Teryx. After a long day of using electronics and other equipment, this dual battery isolator system will guarantee that the starting battery is fully charged and prepared to start the engine. To ensure that the accessory battery is charged while the outboard is operating, I utilized a digital volt meter to track when the isolator closed and opened. Functioned flawlessly.
