@trueisolators True Smart Battery Isolator is designed to manage dual battery systems efficiently—especially in vehicles, RVs, and boats. Here’s how it protects and powers your setup: https://trueam.com ⚙️ How It Works When your engine runs and the starter battery reaches 13.4 volts, the isolator engages, connecting both batteries to charge simultaneously. If voltage drops below 12.9 volts, it disengages, separating the batteries to prevent the starter battery from being drained by accessories. The system includes a 10-second delay before switching states to avoid false triggers from voltage fluctuations. Protection Benefits Prevents power drain: Keeps your starter battery safe from auxiliary loads like fridges or lights. Surge protection: Shields your system from ignition surges and voltage spikes. No voltage drop: Unlike diode isolators, True’s design avoids energy loss during charging. #SxS #utv #polaris #dfna #RZR ♬ original sound – trueisolators

🔧 Key Features & Benefits

1. Fully Automatic Voltage Sensing

  • The True® best battery isolator instantly connects both batteries once charging voltage reaches 13.4 V and disconnects when it drops below 12.9 V
  • Ensures your starter battery is always fully charged while powering accessories from the secondary bank.

2. Designed for Polaris General

  • Polaris-specific wiring harnesses ensure a clean, factory-like installation in all General models 2016–2025

Available in:

3. High Performance & Reliable

  • 12 V, 140 A continuous current capacity (170 A surge)
  • Supports stator charging systems typical of UTVs like Polaris General

4. Durable & User-Friendly

  • Waterproof, temperature-tolerant housing built for rugged off-road conditions
  • Optional remote voltmeter gauges the status of both batteries.
  • Low idle draw (<13 mA) ensures no parasitic drain

@trueisolators Testing your True® Battery Isolator in a UTV is essential to ensure your dual battery system is working properly and protecting your starter battery. Here’s a practical guide to walk you through the process: Step-by-Step Testing Instructions Start Your UTV Engine Let it idle for a minute. The isolator monitors voltage and should activate once the starter battery reaches 13.4V. Check the Blue LED The isolator’s internal LED should glow blue when both batteries are connected and charging. If it doesn’t light up, your voltage may be too low or wiring may need inspection. Turn Off the Engine After shutdown, the voltage will drop. Once it falls below 12.9V, the LED should turn off, indicating the batteries are now isolated. Use Accessories to Speed Up Voltage Drop Turn on lights or a stereo to help bring the voltage down faster and confirm the isolator disengages properly. Multimeter Test With engine running: both batteries should read 14.2V–14.8V With engine off: starter battery should stay above 12.8V, accessory battery may vary depending on load Confirm Voltage Matching If both batteries show similar voltage (within 0.1V) while the LED is on, the isolator is working correctly. If there’s a large difference (e.g., 14.2V vs. 12.2V), the isolator may be faulty https://www.dfna.info #trueisolator #rzr #polaris #utv #sxs ♬ original sound – trueisolators

🛠 How It Works & Installation

How It Works:
When your engine is running and voltage reaches ~13.4 V, the True isolator automatically links both batteries, allowing full charging. When voltage drops below ~12.9 V (engine off), it disconnects, protecting the starter battery.

Installation Steps:

  1. Mount the isolator unit inside the General’s battery compartment using the included hardware or 3M Dual Lock.
  2. Connect the red cables to the starter and auxiliary batteries; connect the black cable to ground.
  3. Optionally install the remote LED voltmeter in the dash area.
  4. Total installation time: ~45–60 minutes with basic tools.
